Day 1 of the 4 days Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari Uganda: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park by road via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara highway with a stopover at the Equator and lunch in Mbarara and a simple game drive as you drive to your lodge.

Wake up to delicious breakfast at your hotel in Kampala where your Uganda safari guide will pick you up, give you a short briefing about your 4 days short Uganda wildlife safari and set off for your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park along the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara highway. Travel time from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth is about 7 hours. You will have a break of the long journey at the Equator in Kayabwe for a polar water experiment, photographs with chance to stand in two hemispheres at the same time, this will be a great chance for you to see the area that separates both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres of the world. Day 2 of the 4 days Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari Uganda: Do an early morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked by your driver guide for your early morning game drive. This morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park provides excellent opportunities to view several wildlife including Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Bush bucks and many more. This game drive will last about 2-4 hours depending on your interests. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for your breakfast and lunch.

In the afternoon after your lunch, you will report to Kazinga channel for your exclusive 2-hour boat cruise on the 45km river that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This rewarding boat cruise trip offers an exceptional platform for photography as you pass through the highest concentration of hippos and crocodiles. As part of the adventure, you will watch several animals drinking at the water’s edge as well as variety of bird species. After the boat cruise, proceed to Kibale National Park and along the way, you will be able to see an impressive view of the remarkable “Mountains of the Moon”. Transfer time to this park is about 3 hours.

Day 3 of the 4 days Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari Uganda: Do chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park and an afternoon Nature walk in the Bigodi wetland

After your early morning Breakfast at the lodge, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for your 8:00am briefing about the chimpanzee trekking activity by the park rangers before you join the rest of the group to begin your adventure. While trekking, you will meet our closest relatives the “Chimpanzees” swinging through the dense forest an activity that will last for about 3-4 hours.  Along the trekking trails, you will come across other primates like Black and white Colobus monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabeys, several species of birds and abundant plant life, butterflies and many small insects. Later return and proceed to have lunch.

After your lunch, you will take an amazing nature walk to the Bigodi wetland swamp; a very interesting Eco-tourism site. While there, you will encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. This walk is excellent for birders interested in Uganda birding safaris. As part of this adventure, you will view different bird species like the Great blue Turacco, Rwenzori Turaco, Narina Trogon, and little Bulbul to mention but a few. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
