kibaledestination
• The distance of 26km is involved to connect to Kibale National Park from Fort portal which is the nearest biggest town.
• The Kanyanchu tourism center of Kibale National Park can be connected to using two routes from Kampala. One passes via Mubende and Fort
Portal while the second one passes through Mbarara and Kamwengye. Though the Mbarara route is interesting with a lot of features to encounter en route, the northern route via Mubende is shorter with 358km distance involved taking about 7 hours of drive.
• Public means in form of buses and Taxis connect from Kampala to Fort Portal daily and other taxis connect to Bigodi passing by the Kanyanchu gate of Kibale National Park. Thus, Kibale national Park can be connected to using pubic means which makes it cheaper than private arrangement.
